When you register your UpperHand account using a supported third-party platform, we may access, collect and store limited information related to your profile. We use this information to help you manage and leverage your contacts in connection with our Services. We may collect information such as:

  • Group membership data
  • Names and job descriptions of contacts
  • Third-party user ID’s of those in your network

UpperHand uses this information in order to help you better capitalize on your interactions within your professional online networks and to expedite job prospects and opportunities in connection with our Services. Notwithstanding anything in the Privacy Policy to the contrary, we may also share any information we have collected about you that you have submitted:

  • When you explicitly consent to the disclosure of such information to a third-party when connecting to a third-party service that asks you if you consent to sharing that information

It does not include connections, network updates, hob listings, groups, companies or other content. By agreeing to link your third-party platform profile when you register with UpperHand, you consent to the use of your information in connection with our Services.

2. Non-Personal Information

We collect “non-personal information” that cannot be used to personally identify you such as anonymous usage data, general demographic information, URLs, the type of device your are using to access our Services, your IP address and the preferences you submit. UpperHand also obtains information from “cookies” (see section “Cookies and Related Technologies” below).

UpperHand uses this non-personal information for statistical purposes to keep track of the numbers of visits to the Services and website pages and to track certain metrics in order to improve the usability of our Services. Your IP address and other relevant information may be used in order to trace any fraudulent or criminal activity of any activity in violated of the Terms of Service.

What control do you have over your information?

Any data collected with your consent, upon your request or when you close your UpperHand account will be deleted. UpperHand will delete all profile and statistics data collected within 10 days of receiving your request.
